Mission Statement
The Bulldog Theatre Company was founded with one simple message in mind,
to develop and produce original Australian plays that examine the issues
facing an Australia made of people from different religions, different cultures
and different classes.
Our first production in 2006 tackled the class divide with The Negotiating Table, and then in the same year we took on multiculturalism with Alex and Eve which has proven to be a runaway success with return seasons in 2007 and 2008 as part of the Greek Festival of Sydney and smashing box office records, becoming the biggest Greek/multicultural play sice Wogs Out of Work.
We looked at the impact of crime, and the dangers of drugs with Better Man in 2008, and now in 2009 we are brought back our most loved characters with Alex and Eve – The Wedding, which smashed the box office and vastly outperformed the original Alex and Eve, an Official part of the Greek Festival of Sydney 2009.
